On many of the Rayence DR panel sales that we’ve made we have had issues with grainy images and low Exposure Index (EXI) readings from the panel especially on larger shots. After working with Rayence tech support we discovered that there is an exposure window setting in the software that sets the amount of time that the panel looks for x-ray after it is detected. Typically this setting is around 300-450 mSec when the panel is shipped. For most Chiropractors this isn’t enough time for a typical lateral or AP lumbar view. The x-ray exposure window has to be lengthened which is done by a Rayence support technician via remote access. I’m not sure if Rayence has changed this setting from the factory but be aware of it if you have customers that experience grainy images on larger shots.
